The Bridge Ices sign indicates that the surface of a bridge or an overpass may be icy or frosted before the adjacent road when the temperature approaches the freezing point.

The sign may only be considered if one or more of the following conditions exist:

1. There is a recurring collision experience attributable to bridge icing;
2. The bridge is exposed to spray or high humidity conditions;
3. There is horizontal or vertical curvature on the bridge; or
4. It is a steel-decked bridge. The sign may be removed when seasonal conditions dictate.
