Merge sign indicates that merging movements may be encountered. It is placed
in advance of a point where two roads converge and where no turning movements
conflicts occur. The sign should be installed on the side of the road on
which merging traffic will be encountered, so that it is visible to drivers
on both roads, and in such a position as not to obstruct the driver's view
of those vehicles about to merge. Where the sign is not visible from both
roads, a sign should be installed on both roads. |
