Warning Signs Warning signs indicate in advance conditions on or adjacent to a road that will normally require caution and may require a reduction in vehicle speed. Adequate warning signs offer a higher level of safety and a more efficient traffic flow for drivers. However, the overuse of warning signs may promote disrespect for traffic control devices, and the use of such signs should be kept to a minimum.
