Guide
and Information Signs
Guide and Information signs indicate information
for route selections, for locating off-road facilities, or for identiying
geographical features or points of interest.
Guide and information signs are divided
into the follow classes:
- GS:
(IA - UTMC)Destination guide signs provide driver orientation by means
of destinations, directions, distance and location identification.
- IB: Route marker signs
indicate numbers, names or other designations of roads.
- IC: Off-road services
signs indicate the availability of, and direction to, off-road services
or recreational facilities.
- ID: Miscellaneous
information signs indicate information that is not otherwise provided
for in Class I.
- IS: Guide sign supplementary
tab signs indicate related information that is additional to the message
conveyed by the primary sign.
