The Signals Ahead sign indicates the presence of traffic control signals ahead. It may be used where the signals are not visible for a distance of 120m. It may also be installed in other cases where vehicle speeds or conditions of visibility justify its use. The sign may also be used for an introductory period when new signals have been installed.

The supplementary tab sign may be used to indicate the distance to the traffic signal rounded to the nearest 50m.
