The Pavement Drop-Off sign indicates to drivers that they are on or approaching a section of road where either or both the adjacent lane or shoulder are lower or higher than the driver’s traveled lane.

The Pavement Drop-Off sign should be installed when pavement drop-off exceeds 60mm.
