The Divided Highway Begins/Ends sign shall be installed on the approaches to a section of a highway where the opposing flows of traffic are separated by a median, and shall indicate the transition from a nondivided to divided highway cross-section ahead.

Divided Highway Ends Shall be installed at the end of a section of divided highway as a warning of two way traffic ahead, and shall indicate the transition from divided to non-divided highway cross-section ahead. These signs should be installed on both sides of the roadway.
