The
heart of the Break-Out modular anchor system is the Adapter
- Super high strength at the top of the
anchor system where loads from impact, vandalism and wind are applied.
- The inside is sealed to prevent ground
water from entering the top portion, where the post is attached.
- The upper portion has crescent shaped
tabs which reduce or eliminate the need for flashing or sealer when
installed in a 3” diameter hole made in existing concrete.
- The bottom of the adapter incorporates
a unique permanent mechanical locking feature enabling extension pieces
to be attached in the field without the need for fasteners or welds.
- Extension pieces can be made from scrap
perforated square tubing or lighter gauge material making it easier
to drive while not sacrificing strength when a longer anchor is called
for.
The Break-Out Surface-Mount
(SM) is an easy to use alternative to conventional core drilling when
needing a signpost on concrete.
Not just another sacrificial piece of
metal, the SM can withstand direct wheel and plow impacts while still
providing a 360 degree break-away feature.
The product is engineered to accept the
revolutionary Break-Out coupler
for U-Channel, Square or Round sign post and will provide years of reliable
service.
Gone are the pieces of steel welded to
a plate, or bases which are completely consumed in the event of an impact.
The SM base works with U-Channel, Round
and Square posts of all manufacturers types.
Anchor Extensions
- Superior strength combined with enhanced
corrosion protection
- Made from high strength, galvanized
polymer coated 11 Gauge steel.
- Available in standard lengths of 12",
20" and 26" (OAL of 16", 24" or 30" when
attached to the adapter) with special lengths possible.
- Non perforated side walls increase
strength.

Soil Stabilizer
- Modular multi-directional stabilization
- Made from high strength steel.
- Multi-Directional stabilization for
use in softer soil conditions.
- Unique spring tension grip feature
allows the installer to temporarily attach the stabilizer to the anchor
in the vertical position or without fasteners.
- Attaches securely to the anchor eliminating
movement prevalent with slide-on stabilizers.
- Saves money by allowing for stabilization
only when required by the specific soil condition.
- Can be fixed in any position over the
length of the anchor, a welcome feature when the installation is located
on a slope.
